The Great British RIB Rally

Eleven boats set off from Portland last week to attempt a complete circumnavigation of Great Britain. I was lucky enough to get to shoot the leg between Oban and Skye.
Not only was I lucky enough to be there, the weather was definitely on our side too. From a vantage point on Kerrera we saw the fleet arrive up the sound, listening to their banter on the VHF and offering instructions on their approach, it was quite a sight. The flat calm conditions and glorious Scottish sunshine really made it something special.
The following day we set off on a leg from Oban to Skye, I started out on 'My Pleasure' before switching to 'Trinity' at Tobbymorry, after our stop the seas became more interesting out in open water, but with some great helming from Patrick Byrne, skipper of Trinity and event organiser we all stayed dry and in one piece.
With the conditions deteriorating we set up a formation run of the fleet under the Skye bridge, which at the top was pretty windy to say the least!
