SLAM Dunk

The SLAM X-Yachts Solent Cup 2011, held at the Royal Southern Yacht Club was a great event, even if it was challenging to shoot at times. Not helped by a healthy Solent chop at times, and threatening clouds brining decent wind for the fleet. Check out the shots here!

An email comes in from a client requesting a specific shot, a phone call and a quick trip to the next marina up from Waterline HQ and we're unpacking kit to shoot on a beautiful Nordhavn 55 which has just finished being commissioned.
A Southern Expedition - Video Blog

It may not quite live up to the adventurous exploits of Scott and Shackelton, but an intrepid group from the Hamble-based Royal Southern Yacht Club, led by Mike ‘Pike’ Jones, Peter Delbridge and Tim Robinson, sought out new Solent territories yesterday resulting in them naming a newly found island ‘Southern Land’ as well as declaring it a bona fide annexe to the Yacht Club’s Hamble Riverside home

Well it's another year and another London Boat Show at Excel, this year with a 'new look' which seems to be doing the trick. We were at the show on the last build up day, and for the opening Friday. We are pleased to say that a vertibale throng of exhibitors are displaying our work, including videos on the Oyster, Fairline, Yamaha, Hamble Yacht Services and Classic Boat stands! We also have stills present on all of those stands as well as Beneteau, Garmin and CSL Publishing to name a few!

Pendennis Cup

After a glorious sail down to Cornwall we settled in in Falmouth to shoot the Pendennis Cup. With four beauties in Class 1, including our favourite Mariquita it was a brilliant week to shoot. Chris was continuing his program with the maritime watercolour artist Alexander Creswell, whilst I was in my element with some very pretty boats indeed.

As far as I'm concerned classic yachts like Mariquita and Tuiga charging around under full sail are some of the most photogenic things I can point my camera at.
